Remastered version of American McGee's Alice featuring native widescreen resolutions, controller support, updated character textures, and compatibility fixes for modern systems. This game was bundled with Alice: Madness Returns as a pre-order bonus and as part of The Complete Collection. The developer console (~) from the original game is completely disabled in this remaster as a means to prevent cheating, however, this means modifying CVars and fine-tune other settings in-game is no longer possible. Summoning Cheshire for hints is also missing in this remaster. This game was only available through pre-ordering Alice: Madness Returns or purchasing The Complete Collection, with the latter being no longer available.
This is unbundled as a standalone game. Run the batch file alice.bat in the bin folder. If you want to create a shortcut for alice.exe, you need to add the -RunningFromAlice2 command line parameter.
Please note, this version retains some bugs from the 2000 version, including failing to persist video settings. I also found the only 16:9 resolution I could get working was 1600x900.
Visuals can be further improved with the Alice HD Texture Pack.
