This coffee table is said to have been assembled using components from a Porsche 911 2.7-liter flat-six engine, and it was acquired by the seller approximately ten years ago. The cylinder heads and twin triple-barrel carburetors are constructed of aluminum, while the engine block is made of magnesium. Additional components include black-painted upper valve covers, a fan assembly, a circular glass tabletop supported by velocity stacks, and four metal legs attached beneath the engine block. This Porsche 911 flat-six coffee table is now offered at no reserve in Lake Mary, Florida.
The engine features aluminum cylinder heads and camshaft housing towers as well as a pair of triple barrel carburetors that feature a raw bead-blasted finish. Black-painted Porsche-branded upper valve covers have been installed, and the magnesium engine block, fan assembly, and intake manifolds wear a dark gray finish. The engine lacks internal components.
The circular glass tabletop is said to measure approximately 36″ in diameter, and is supported by four of the six velocity stacks. The seller states that the table measures 22″ tall, with the engine block being 19″ long and 32″ wide.
Case stamping ☆6144254☆ is consistent with a 2.7-liter Type 911/92 flat-six used in a 1974 Porsche 911. Additional identifying markings can be viewed in the gallery below.
