After having intervened on the Preliminary Project Summary (PPS) studies, GESTE Engineering continues its experience on this project, in group, for the phases PAP (plans approval procedure), Project and Realization.
The railway line Lausanne-Échallens-Bercher (LEB), although essentially on its own site, has a common area for road and rail traffic, located on the Avenue d'Échallens in Lausanne. In order to make crossing this area safer, the LEB decided to bury its route under the Avenue d'Échallens, between the Chauderon station and the entrance to Union-Prilly station, thanks to a double-track tunnel with a length of 1.7 kilometres.
GESTE Engineering was awarded two mandates for the continuation of its activities on this project. GESTE Engineering will intervene in a consortium composed of Monod-Piguet (pilot), Basler Hofmann, CSD and Karakas for the realization of the services of civil engineer, geotechnical engineer and specialized engineers. Within this consortium, the Company is responsible for all activities related to railway technology (contact line and substation, track, low-voltage, earthing) as well as safety / RAMS and ventilation.
Alone, GESTE will also be in charge of carrying out the PAP dossier for the safety installations.
