Gasthaus zur Gruabn

Big portions of meat! Wiener schnitzel here is thin and breaded so nicely here, it comes with a side salad with potatoes. You will be stuffed and the prices are reasonable as well. Just around the corner from Wien mitte station so it's convenient to get to. We came here twice to eat dinner and both times were delicious

Me and my wife were visiting the Kunst Haus and it was late so we were hungry. As we were walking toward downtown we found this place and decided to eat. From outside is not very friendly and when you enter is the smoke area. My wife said it is not for us to stay in that smoke area and turned around when i saw the non smoking sign and the waitress came quick with hospitality saying that the non smoking is free for only one more hour (it was 5.30 pm). We decided to stay and the non smoking was clean and nice.

We checked the menu and we decided to go with the special " z'gruabn" or something like ( not a german speaker, sorry) that which is a plate for 2 ppl. The cook was fast and brought us the food quite fast. When the plate arrived we had so much food and we thought we order the wrong dish. We barely finished half of the food. The price was cheap (20 euro) and you could feed 4 ppl with the size of the plate we had. We asked to take away the remaining and the waitress gave us aluminum paper to wrap up and take home. Wow ... Good price , great food, no luxury but clean and i would highly recommend if you are in the area.
