Minox revives classic camera with new White Edition – 28/09/09

The new Minox Classic Camera 5.0 has been designed in white for this special edition and comes in a black, satin-lined wooden box with silver-coloured trim

GERMANY. Minox has added a new model to its Classic Camera Collection – the Minox Classic Camera 5.0 White Edition.

Minox’s Classic Camera Collection presents miniaturised versions of classic rangefinder cameras from the 1950s – with modern digital technology on the inside – in an attempt to revive classic cameras of the past.

Featuring a five million pixel resolution, the new Minox Classic Camera 5.0 has been designed in white for this special edition and comes in a black, satin-lined wooden box with silver-coloured trim. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology the DCC is said to deliver “pin-sharp images that are rich in detail with natural colour rendition”.

The camera has a 1.5 inch TFT color monitor which complements the optical viewfinder and helps the user to compose the picture, when needed. To transfer the image data to a computer the DCC has an SD card slot as well as a USB port. Besides individual images in standard format it is also possible to shoot film sequences in AVI format.

All data is stored in an internal 128 MB memory on external SD memory cards. The power supply comes from a replaceable Lithium-Ion battery.

In addition to the satin-lined wooden box the scope of delivery includes a Lithium-Ion battery, USB cable and the operator’s manual. The Minox Digital Classic Camera 5.0 White Edition is available from specialist dealers from October 2009.
