This is now SOLD. Search for similar items.

Description:

We purchased this car just over a year ago from the very well known and active Dutch Rallyist and very keen Lancia Fulvia enthusiast Mr Peter De Witt. Now for sale after a short period of ownership and due to a change of plans and circumstance.  The car is a very exact replication of a works Acropolis car. A complete and expensively built Fulvia per FIVA rules (approved by card) that can be used for closed road competition and regularity rallying while still being fully original and road legal now with full UK age related registration, MOT and Historic Tax.  Built using a very good, early original Dutch 1965 1300 Fulvia Coupe with Series II 1600HF mechanicals. Restored to the highest possible level by a marque specialist and converted to Group4 Spec. Where new parts were needed and were available they were used. After having built and rallied very successfully his famous 'No 14' Fulvia Rally Replica for many years this car was built into an Acropolis Rally Replica for regularity rallies and would perform the honourable duty of being his spare/back up car. Being always ‘on the button’ ready and waiting for action when called upon should the No14 car fail in any way. The fact remained that this car did not in fact compete in many rallies at all and for four years saw very little use.  This was Peter’s sixth 1600 Fulvia, and having rallied the other ones to top10 positions in international regularity events through Europe he built this car with his 10+ Years of experience and knowledge to make a Fulvia that would be very strong, with the right suspension, extremely quick, able to be driven the way they were meant to be, fast through the mountain sections Technical specs:- - Series II 1600HF Engine - Solex 42mm carburetors and ram pipe trumpets. - Series II 1600HF 5 Speed Gearbox with 3.9 final drive mounted.  - 1600HF front suspension.  (With competition style bushing upper and lower with all new rose  joints and bearings) - Series I drive shafts fitted.  - Group 4 Steel Exhaust System and Manifold. - Large radiator, modern electrical fan. - 80L Stainless Steel Fuel Tank (period model) - Two Facet red top fuel pumps with pressure regulator. - External works type quick release fuel filler cap. - Heavy Duty Ali sump and exhaust guard. - 4 Pot Brakes (Homologated) with double brake lines.  All brake lines WRC style (no copper) - Drilled Front Discs (Not Homologated).  Homolagated pair as spare (New) - Hydraulic Handbrake. (Mechanical system still usable) - Electrical system fully new with High Output Alternator. - Five 6x13 Cromodoras with intermediate tyres Body and interior:- - Aluminium bonnet and boot lid. - Steel Doors. - Full Roll Over Cage. - Floor Mounted Fire Extinquisher. - Original Fanalone Carrello driving lights with rear spacers. - Chrome Light rings with quick release covers.  - Period Cibie Spotlights with covers included ('Iode') - Rear Carrello Light and Cover. - Plastic windows all around except wind shield. - One Halda included.  - Period correct stickers and rally plates replicating the Acropolis Car. Optional Spares:- - Set of 5.5x13 Alloy Wheels complete with Brand New unused winter tyres. - Series II 1600HF Gearbox. - Driveshafts. Car has to go and is priced way below build costs to replicate. Car has been unused for 5 years now and would benefit from a mechanical service. The car presents itself very well and more photographs can be viewed by following the link.
