Noch nie habe ich ein Buch ein zweites Mal gelesen, ebenso wenig ein Hörbuch nochmals angehört. Aber die Geschichte der Schafe hat mich wirklich fasziniert und hier habe ich meinen Grundsatz gebrochen. Nachdem ich das Hörbuch mittlerweile in und auswendig kenne, habe ich mir auch das Buch vorgenommen.

Was will ich damit sagen: absolute Kaufempfehlung. Wer mal was anderes hören möchte als die vielen blutrünstigen Hörbuchkrimis liegt hier genau richtig. Hervorragend, wie die Sprecherin Andrea Sawatzki die Stimmung und die Persönlichkeit der Schafe herüber bringt. Wenn ich heute Schafe auf einer Wiese sehe, betrachte ich diese Tiere mit ganz anderen Augen.

Einziger Wermutstropfen am Hörbuch: Die letzten 2 Seiten des Buches fehlen! Das abrupte Ende im Hörbuch findet in der Printversion einen erweiterten Ausklang. Wer nur die Hörbuchfassung kennt, sollte sich irgendwo das Buch schnappen und die beiden Seiten kurz lesen.

Tja, ich war von der Thematik überaus angetan. Als Hörbuch auf dem täglichen Weg zur Arbeit - warum nicht? Und (insoweit will ich es auch bei 2 Sternen belassen), die Idee ist ja wirklich originell. Aber, die Umsetzung - sowohl literarisch als auch der Vorleserin kann mich absolut nicht begeistern. Die Autorin war anscheinend selbst allzu vernarrt in ihre Idee. Dauernd wird (teils unterschwellig, teils mit dem Holzhammer) daran erinnert, daß ja hier Schafe handeln (so ein schlechtes Gedächtnis haben die Leser oder Hörer doch nun auch wieder nicht!). Und auch die Leistung der Leserin ist absolut uninspiriert. So lese ich vor, wenn es schon zu spät ist und ich überhaupt keine Lust mehr habe, meinen Kindern etwas vorzulesen; motiviertes Lesen klingt deutlich anders. Für eine ausgebildete Schauspielerin ist die gebotene Leistung wirklich nicht angemessen.
