We both love this book - the pun on Miss Marple is well appreciated, and the teamworking methods the sheep use to solve the mystery are a lesson to anyone who tends to be over-critical of their abilities - nobody is good at everything, but together even the most apparently incompetent sheep can find out what they're good at, and make a big difference in the end. (As isolated PhD students at the time, we took great comfort from this idea).
As an Irish person who's spent a lot of time in the west of the country, I was impressed at Leonie Swann's reconstruction of the area's eccentricities, and as for the personalities of each sheep in the flock - her work is a delight. The mix of humour with a believable ovine view of the world make this one of my favourites.
rätseln, was passiert ist.
