Charles Guislain was just 15 years old when he attended his first fashion show in Paris. It happened to be Gareth Pugh’s debut in the city and one of the most talked-about shows of the season. Since then, the model has immersed himself in the Parisian fashion scene, hanging out with legendary style-blogger Diane Pernet and experimenting with photography. His memories of fashion extend well before his time – he recalls the shapeless garments of the 90s as “simply repellent,” and claims the best fashion show he has ever seen was the last Alexander McQueen show (while the designer was alive) in October 2009, which he describes as “an eternal memory.” His future holds a move to NYC to work on his photography and, he says, with a wry excitement, “the end of Facebook.”
