Biography of the Scottish outsider poet who chose to be silent - written by an art therapist who safeguarded 'outsider art' and created The Scottish Collection of Art Extraordinary.
This is such a wonderful short book about a man who despite or because of a psychotic illness produced continuously for 50 years whilst an in patient in Craig Dunain hospital grass weaving and this work was found, partly by fortuitous circumstances and chance by the art therapist Joyce Laing who met Angus and rescued just some of his work. It is especially moving as we saw an exhibition of his work in the Kildonan museum on S Uist just a few miles from where he was born, grew up and finally returned to before his death.
