The vocation to linearity, to chromatic cleanliness and formal is confirmed unchanged, together with a particular flexibility that responds to a basic “spatial sensitivity” for the entire original interior design.
The latter, like the facades, were restored with conservative direction and the aim of maintaining the distinctive feature of the original BBPR project unchanged, i.e. the typical functionality of the 1950s.
To do this, original cladding techniques and materials were used, as some elements were recovered or faithfully reproduced in line with the indications of the Superintendency, with the involvement of around 100 workers per day.
An approach that can also be pursued thanks to the precious collaboration with various specialized companies that have put some elements back into production, such as the handles designed by BBPR.
Kaleidoscopic soul
In addition to the architectural project, the commercial one also brings a breath of fresh air. Respecting the original intended uses, the new Velasca Tower will be enriched with spaces open to the public, such as business, catering and wellness areas. By opening the doors of a building that has always been exclusively private, the Tower will offer different experiences that will coexist in synergy, with spaces dedicated to offices and private apartments, as well as prestigious retail and restaurant projects.
