Bet it Will Look Great When Finished
Discussion
Now then, doubtless you have all seen this picture a million times and had a lot of laughs about it
So being a work in progress, you would presume it would be something special when it was finished? Well, let's see...............
Well, that was really worth the time and effort. Nice to see the level of workmanship has been high throughout the build (which can be found here ). Presumably it will turn up on French ebay as a 'one off stunning showcar, selling for a friend' in a few months

Well, at least it´s really.....................individual.
Someone had an idea and kept to it, like it or not.
Whe I put "artisaning" in google, I ended up in some french car forums,
and they don´t like it very much, too.
In one of these forums it was related to this :
Tis is the work of Erwin Wurm, an austrian artist, and called "The Fat Car".
He likes to transform known objects into something with a humorous and satirical note.
He also did this :
So maybe we just don´t know enough of "the thought behind it",
because I think it was/is more than a "tuning/barry car",
maybe something like a "rolling sculpture",
like they show at "art car parades" in the USA (and plenty of pics in the net).
Cheers,
Benni

Those are excellent. I love "The Fat Car" - without trying to sound like a pseud, it really personifies so much that is wrong with modern society.
I like Wurm's 'Fat Porsche' too, if you look at the interior his 'fattening technique' has been applied to that too:Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
