Wild & Free Student Calling Cards - Bright, Bold & Beautiful!

No more yelling. No more loud voices calling students across the room or playground. If needing to chat or to work with a student, these cards are the answer!

What's in the resource?

- 12 different coloured cards, each with a different Australian animal (and yes, a misplaced Kiwi too - but I cannot resist how adorable it looks!)

- Each card has an editable text box for you to add your name. Text reads "____ says: "Please will you come and work with me. Thank you."

How to use:

Give a card to a student and ask them to pass it onto the student you need. The student who receives the card then brings it back to you.

I use these cards constantly in my daily teaching. When I need a student to come and participate in directed group learning, when needing to resolve conflict or gain the attention of students in the playground, I do not need to resort to shouting or raising my voice. The cards also provide the added benefit of supporting student engagement as they pass the card between them there is a shared expectation that names, manners and sentences are exchanged - thus promoting social skills and oral language. My classroom script is much like this...

"Excuse me Tom, Ms Matthis is looking for you. Here is a card for you."

"Thank you for finding me Tegan".

Tom then brings the card back to me.

Requirements:

These cards require the use of Microsoft Powerpoint to open and edit the name text,

They are set for printing onto A4 paper, however can be scaled to meet your needs.
