PSN DOWN UPDATE: The PlayStation Network continues to struggle today, meaning many are missing out on the second phase of the Infinite Warfare beta.
Activision has confirmed that they are working with Sony to try and resolve any issues, commenting: "We are currently experiencing network connectivity issues with Activision titles for players on PlayStation Network.
"We are investigating this problem, and are working hard to regain normal connectivity levels. We thank you for your patience and cooperation."
Sony currently list ALL their core online services as offline, meaning some users are unable to even log on to their consoles.
There is currently no ETA for when the issues will be resolved, other sites are also struggling under confirmed Ddos attacks today.
Internet Traffic company Dyn say they are currently contending with a large attack and recently posted this update: "Our advanced service monitoring issue is currently resolved. We are still investigating and mitigating the attacks on our infrastructure."

PSN is down and so too are several other websites such as Twitter, Amazon and many more sites.

The cause of the issues is most likely a result of a Ddos attacks as hackers launched a major cyber-attack across some of the worlds biggest and most popular websites.
These Ddos attacks seem to be concentrated on 'DYN', a company that hosts many of the major websites listed above.
DYN is suffering a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack, where hackers attempt to overload a site's services by bombarding it with traffic.
Ask PlayStation UK Support has tweeted the following to their devoted fans:
"We're aware that some PSN services are currently unavailable. Our engineers are investigating the problem and we will update soon."
Thousands of people across social media (when they came back online) have been complaining of PSN still being down.
However it's possible these PlayStation Network issues have nothing to do with Sony or PlayStation servers directly, but rather the result of the same hackers.

Currently the PlayStation Network Service Status is showing the online services as working fine, but various complaints across Twitter and Facebook would suggest otherwise.
"I can't connect to psn servers on ps4. possible ddos attack on sony?" wrote one Twitter user, while another said "psn status says everything is running fine yet i keep having login in issues can you help with this or give us a reason?"
It also appears as though the latest outage is impacting a lot more on European PSN players compared to the earlier outage this morning.
Looking at Downdetector.com, an Independent website that monitors servers for online services including PSN, it looks as though there is a more concentrated number of people in Europe reporting issues, compared to earlier when it was mainly localised to the East Coast of the USA and a large number of Asian PlayStation users.
PSN DOWN UPDATE: DDOS ATTACK BEHIND OUTAGES?
No sooner has Sony fixed PSN does it look to have gone down again.
Issues experienced earlier looked to have been fixed, with Ask PlayStation UK Support tweeting less than an hour ago:
"All PSN services are now restored. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
However the service looks to have been rocked again, with reports of the PlayStation Network once again failing.
It's possible that this is the work of hackers, following a series of Ddos attacks this morning several well-known sites including Amazon, Twitter, Reddit, PSN and Spotify are all affected by the attack on one of the internet's biggest web-hosting services.
Outages are being reported across the world, with the east coast of American particularly affected, although Chinese and European users have also noted drops in service.

PSN DOWN UPDATE: PS4 NETWORK ISSUES CONTINUE
Although it seems as though the majority of PSN issues have now been resolved, there are still numerous people online experiencing issues with the PlayStation Network.
Those who have contacted the Ask PlayStation UK Support twitter handle reporting continued problems are all being told: "Some network services are currently being affected. Please keep an eye on the status page: bit.ly/2dl4G3b."
The website for the PlayStation Network Service Page is still showing as "experiencing issues" on their website, however this is supposedly isolated to just the PlayStation Store.
Yet there are still people complaining online of problems with other services like loading friends, error codes such as (WS-36769-1) and DNS error messages.
PSN DOWN UPDATE: PLAYSTATION CONFIRM ISSUES
The PSN issues have finally been acknowledged by the PlayStation Network Service Page, which has changed from all fine to "some services are experiencing issues".
Currently this is only showing for PlayStation Store, with users unable to purchase, download, browse, search or redeem vouchers on PS4.
"You may have some difficulty accessing features and products in PlayStation®Store. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience," reads a statement on the PlayStation Network Service Status page.
The Ask PlayStation UK Support Twitter handle has also been replying to fans telling them "we don't have information about this", before asking if they're able to log in to accounts with different devices.
In addition, the EA Support Twitter feed has told users they are working with PlayStation to fix the issues affecting their own titles, writing: "We are working with our friends over at Playstation to fix this."
PSN DOWN UPDATE: SERVER PROBLEMS NOW IN EUROPE?
We're now seeing reports of the PSN not working for some PS4 and PS3 users in Europe.
Equally, Downdetector.com, the Independent website that monitors servers for online services including PSN, is showing more reports slowly coming through from Europe where it was more localised to East Coast of the USA and in the East for Asian users.
PlayStation has still not acknowledged the issue, despite EA Support pretty much confirming to their fans that this was a PSN issue.
Most recently the EA Support Twitter feed wrote: "There are issues with the connection to the PSN at the moment. We are investigating as we speak."
PSN DOWN UPDATE: PS4 USERS UNABLE TO GET ONLINE
There's still no word from the PlayStation Network server status page, which is still showing all services as working fine.
However numerous people online are complaining about the service not working as it should.
"The PSN site says everything is up and running but I can't connect to the server, (problem is not my internet)," said one Twitter user.
"I'm constantly having issues connecting to the PlayStation Network. I've checked my internet speed nothing there," another wrote
Some gamers have even taken to asking publishers directly.
EA Support has told some gamers: "Hey there, we are aware of connection issues and we are looking into this as we speak. Sorry for the hassle."
Following up the tweet with another that read: "There seem to be connection issues to the PSN. We are investigating from our side and see if there is anything we can do."
The PlayStation Network is once again having issues today with various reports of PSN Server problems for Sony PS4 players.
This follows a number of issues when the PlayStation network was down earlier this week with a number of error codes for PS3 and PS4 users.
Independent website Down Detector, which monitors servers for online services including PSN, Twitter, Netflix and more is currently showing a large spike as people across the globe experience issues with the PlayStation Network.
This shouldn't be mixed with an arranged upcoming maintenance period, which is currently scheduled to take place from October 26.
Currently the PlayStation Network server status page claims that all PSN services are up and running as they should, but numerous reports on Twitter are suggesting otherwise.
The PSN issues right now seem localised to PSN in the East, with Asian PS4 users are the most vocal right now, on top of a few in the east coast of the US.

PSN Scheduled maintenance reminder - 26/10/2016, 06:30 - 07:30
"Routine maintenance and improvements for PlayStation Network will be performed for approximately 1 hour between 26/10/2016, 06:30 and 26/10/2016, 07:30," reads a Sony blog post.
"Anyone who already has an account can still sign-in to their PlayStation Network profile, play games and use most applications while this maintenance is carried out.
"You will not be able to access Account Management, PlayStation Video, and PlayStation Store during this maintenance.
"We apologise for any inconvenience. We recommend activating your PS4 as your primary console before maintenance begins so you can continue to play most games and use 3rd party services during maintenance.
"To activate your console, sign in to your PlayStation Network profile and select [Settings] > [PlayStation Network/Account Management] > [Activate as Your Primary PS4] > [Activate].
"You only need to do this once. We strive to ensure that PlayStation Network services are available at all times, but occasionally we must take PlayStation Network offline to perform essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements.
"We are working hard to reduce the duration of each maintenance operation."
