Chelsea’s Alex Sandro chase takes positive turn as Juve begin moves for replacements

Chelsea have been handed a rare piece of good news in this slightly stressful summer with the word from the continent that their chase of Juventus wing back Alex Sandro may be making progress.

Sandro was a vital cog for Juve as they made it to the Champions League final and would be a great option to compete with Marcos Alonso on the left.

The good news is that according to Italian paper La Repubblica, Juventus are already considering replacements for the full-back, with Nice’s Dalbert and Benjamin Mendy of Monaco on their list.

While this isn’t a guarantee of anything, the fact that they are even initiating contact with other targets is a good sign that they are willing to accept bids matching their extremely high valuation.

The paper claim that a fee off €55 to €60m would be necessary, and frankly they don’t sound too annoyed about it, citing the profit that the Old Lady would make having signed Sandro for €26m just two years ago.
