Pros - Well thought out and designed. Great fun to build! Parts are cast to perfection and fit perfectly together, both metal and plastic alike are excellent. Plan on spending plenty of time on wheel construction! There are a lot of them, The wheels are a combination of metal parts such as 2 brass bushings per wheel one inside one backside, stainless pins in two lengths for inner and outer wheels, plastic wheels and rubber road tires. The kit is has awesome features and the one thing I can assure you is there are plenty of upgrade parts out there both to improve performance and looks. There is no limit what and how you can complete or upgrade this tank kit. Tracks are well made and come assembled and you actually remove 3 links before installing them. The kit is a pleasure to airbrush it truly brings the Tiger and her details to life. The factory tank commander is very well done and if painted properly will be a great addition to the kit at your conclusion of build. The Tank offers the ability to be Fully Function Option Kit, this means you get Start up and power off sound effects, movement forward, backwards, left and right, stop, start, machine gun firing, and main cannon fire with complete tank recoil. Impressive to say the least. Finally let me say that the build guide is also gets two thumbs up very well diagramed and written. The electronics are very easy to install at the time the direction call for it or you can wait and do it at the end portion of the build either way is good. I for one do not follow the direction in the booklet in order of progression personally. But that's because I have over 10+ builds of this kit and have my own build order. The other nice thing about the Tiger overall is you can go historic accuracy or wing it because Germany did not have a standard for camo paint patterns. Con - Hope nothing electronics breaks. This is a very high quality tank kit with great potential. Take your time to study the manual and definitely plan ahead. I had a great time assembling this tank kit, stretching it out over several evenings. Programming the DMD units does require a little bit of study and finagling but thank goodness only has to be done once! I've also built the Tamiya King Tiger tank and did extensive weathering to make it look war weary. Lots of fun and a very worthwhile project.

Typical shake and bake right out of the box Tamiya Model/ RC kit. Have not completed the kit yet but I am 3/4 of the way done it has been a real joy to put together. Just make sure that you review every step multiple times before assymbling cause if you don't you will be sorry you didn't take that opportunity to do that. Other then that I would recommend this product to the average modeler and above.

Tamiya are the standard in RC tanks. I love the build process as much as the operating. Is also great fun to customize the build to make the final product yours alone. Patrick at Hobby Summit is great to deal with. This is my second tank and probably not my last. I think I'll go Russian next time.
