Long block trains are among the trains that attract everyone's attention, both in the prototype and in the model. They are usually made up of one type of wagon. For example, the "Lange Heinrich", an ore train that was still pulled by the powerful class 043 steam locomotives in the 1970s, is still fondly remembered. However, there are also loads that are very sensitive to moisture and therefore cannot be transported in wagons such as those of the Falns 182 type. From 1982, Talbot built a total of 140 examples of a wagon with the designation Tals 968 for the German Federal Railway. They were fitted with a swivelling roof that provided optimum protection for the load, which in this case was mostly salt for the chemical industry. Visually, the Tals 968 is particularly striking due to its cranked roof pillars, which lengthen the upper end of the wagon body and make it look even more massive. With a tare weight of around 25 tonnes, the load can be a maximum of 65 tonnes. With 24 wagons in the prototype, this would be a very substantial load, which would require a powerful draught horse. This is where the powerful class 151 can shine. The swivelling roof wagons of type Tals 968 not only run in block trains, but also in mixed loads.
