It will let it’s 8V72 sing the song of the two-stroke diesel at the top of it’s lungs. It will dig deep and make yanking all of this weight look easy. And it’ll leave a sheen of sweat on the brow of every old-school trucker who remembers when automatic transmissions, cruise control and an apartment on the back of the cab weren’t the standard, but the ability to put over a thousand foot-pounds of torque to work was a daily tasking that put bread on the table. Your Kenworth might be more comfortable, but with a couple of exceptions to the rule (a few that Lohnes knows personally come to mind), chances are good that your over-the-road hauler isn’t going to put up this kind of fight against weight for quite some time…if ever.
