Bad expirience

Worst experience ever. I was refused the 14 days money back stating that Switzerland doesn't have a refund law. This should be clear for people living in switzerland and getting a contract with elitepartner.

I then asked to have my account deleted and the person said I should remind them again tomorrow due to some technical difficulty. What is this?Learn to do your job. Make a note. Its not my job to remmind you because your system is not working.

Lastly I was billed 800chf from my account due to automatic renewal and I didnt even receive any email.

Eine Schande für das Geld - A Shame for the Money

(English below for anyone who fell for their claims to have English profiles)

Ich muss zurückkommen und eine weitere Bewertung hinterlassen, denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sehe, wie dieses Geld von meinem Konto abgebucht wird, wird mir schlecht. Diese Seite ist überhaupt nicht Elite. Es gibt sehr wenige Profile, die auch nur annähernd ihren Behauptungen entsprechen... und selbst dann sind die Nachrichten, die von diesen Männern kommen, "verdächtig". Ich wiederhole meine frühere Bewertung und Empfehlung - und offensichtlich bin ich nicht allein - TRETET NICHT BEI! Sie haben die schlimmsten Vertragsgebühren überhaupt, viel teurer als jede andere Seite. Es gibt einen Grund, warum sie Profile verschwimmen, bevor sie dich in einen Vertrag locken. Bezahlt nicht den Preis, um herauszufinden, warum. Ich habe meinen Vertrag bereits gekündigt (was man 12 Wochen vor Ablauf tun muss!), mein Profil versteckt und jetzt muss ich den Rest dieses verfluchten Vertrags abwarten, um sie loszuwerden.

I have to come back and leave another review because every time I see that money come out of my account, it makes me sick. This site is not at all Elite. There are very few profiles that even come close to matching their claims...and even then, the messages that come from these men are "fishy." I repeat my earlier review and recommendation - and clearly I am not alone - DO NOT JOIN! They have the worst contract fees ever, far more expensive than every other site. There is a reason why they blur profiles before they hook you into a contract. Do not pay the price of finding out why. I have already cancelled my contract (which you have to do 12 weeks before it ends!) hidden my profile and now I have to wait out the rest of this accursed contract to be rid of them.

Matching algorithm and supporting material are very helpful

There is a lot of supporting material to prepare for online dating. It is very helpful in my view. They developed a matching algorithm which shows you where the potential strengths and weaknesses of a relationship with this person could be. I have the impression that it really works well. I found these exact problems predicted by the algorithm already in the dating period! But in the end, I think, you have to meet the person to be able to make up you mind. However it is still very helpful.

Anything but elite. Horrendous disappointment

Not a single compatible match. There seem to be about 30 people on the site, and the profiles are anything except "elite". SCAM. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Taking my profile down with months left on my useless and hugely wasted premium membership. Sadly, there is no such thing as a user's right in the world of online dating. The entire enterprise is a nightmare and a scam.

This is fraud

This is fraud. I signed up for a year, sent the notice by email to cancel more than 9 months before the cancelation date according to their instructions on the website, and now I receive a collection notice.
Do not use this. EP you should be ashamed of yourselves for such business practices.

Unethical Behaviour

Unethical Behaviour - Feels Like a Scam

I joined for six months. Didn't notice the automatic renewal then hit with a bill for €600 on my card. Tried "widerruf" and normal cancellation within days and got a polite message saying neither is possible, even though it is absolutely clear I don't want it. It's going through the lawyers.
DO NOT USE ELITE PARTNER. TAKE THE MONEY OFF THEM AS THEY DO TO US!!

I am extremely upset to receive this…

Update: they refused to refund me although it has been less than 24 hours. Absolutely shameless scammers .I am extremely upset to receive this reply. No I have contacted your customer service and told me to agree on 20% refund. That is not true what you are saying. This website is the biggest scam I have ever encountered. Refund me or I am going to take legal action against you. Extremely dishonest people

If a revocation has not been accepted, the most likely explanation would be that the 14 day period had already expired. We do indeed accept any contract revocation within the 14 day period, as stated in our T&Cs (as mentioned before, just a small amount will be charged for the days that the customer was able to use our platform, relative to the total duration and price of the premium membership). Nothing much on this site

Nothing much on this site, so inactive! It’s a waste of time… the "Elite" name is misused. When my expensive prime membership ends I’m out of here! The free dating sites like Facebook are more active and cost nothing….

Given that 99.9% of my messages go…

Given that 99.9% of my messages go unread, I have a strong feeling that most, if not all, members are fraudulent accounts. I want to believe that this company isn't a scam, since their ads appear on mainstream media, but I'm having trouble believing that I am getting close to zero replies (since they are never being read) to my hundreds of messages. Hoping I get some kind of feedback from the company here about this...I guess they could claim that most people are not paying members and therefore cannot read/reply to my messages, but it's hard to believe that so many of my matches are almost exclusively non-members...

I signed for half price for 6 months

I signed for half price for 6 months. Then suddenly after the six months ,the prolonged the contract without my consent since they hide the rules and make it unethical. I am condemned to pay 900 euros for no service and also till 2024 I have to pay them. This is really stealing people by unethical behavior and shady contracts.
Do not sign or ever approach this app even from 1000 Km. They will rob you as they did to me and you cannot do much.
Stay away from them please.

Hi Azul Amigo, the info on how and when a contract will be prolonged is clearly visible directly above the button you use to confirm the purchase. At this point we also display how much your Premium Membership will cost after the initial discount expires.

The cancellation modalities are also clearly listed. You will find all the information not only directly above the button that confirms the purchase, but also in your contract conditions, which can be viewed in detail before purchase and which are sent to you be e-mail after purchase.

This is definitely a fraud

This is definitely a fraud! Please people stay away from it! As once you paid as premium member, you can never get away from it easily! As the others mentioned its worse than all the other dating App.

Horrifyingly bad

Horrifyingly bad. This company makes it almost impossible to cancel. They advertise free trial periods then say it is not possible to cancel. The reality is you can cancel at anytime. Not as claimed by elitepartner.

Even though I was a member for 4 days only and cancelled within the "free" trial period, they sent me a bill for 800euros. When I refused to pay they got debt collecting agencies after me. Nice try ElitePartner but that won't work on me.

I will fight them in the courts and win. They will not intimidate and bully me. They threaten you with beteibungen and mahnungen hoping you'll give in. Not me. I won't be bullied. If they threaten you with a betreibung, tell them Rechtsvorschlag erheben. Put up or shut up. Companies like this are a disgrace. They sell their customers' fantasy debts to debt collection agencies.

In fact ElitePartner, you owe me money because you charged me for a whole month but I was a member for only 4 days. Pro rata that means you should refund me most of my money. I will send you a Mahnung and a Betreibung.

Add to that, fake profiles and a poor mobile app and you get the picture. A complete scandal. Don't believe those adverts.

Hi Darren G., we do not offer a "free trial" as such, but we do offer a free basic membership with which you can try out most, but not all, features. The premium membership can be revoked within the 14-day-period, but we do not advertise this fact, since it is a legal requirement and not a "free trial". If you revoke within the 14-day-period, you will only be charged a small amount for the number of days that you have been able to use our services relative to the total length and cost of your premium membership. This would be just a few € for 4 days.

Also, you state that we charged you for a whole month, but also for 800 €. Of course, our premium membership is not that expensive.

Are you sure it is ElitePartner Germany that you are having trouble with and not some international company with a similar name? If it is indeed us, please contact customer service again to clear up misunderstandings.

Forced auto renewals and unfair responses

I believed in this website. I signed up in March 2020, after spending 6 months on, I wanted to cancel my membership. There is no easy way to unsubscribe.
There was fax and letter listed then, please note this was also in COVID times when most services were not functional. I sent them a letter in October 2020, asking them if I could terminate my annual membership early.

This letter was delivered as I did not receive the letter back. However, in March 2021 they autodebited the money and told me I had not sent cancellation notice.
In May 2021, I sent them a fax stating i no longer use the service and I am getting married! Again there is no response. I also stopped/blocked the auto debit payment. Again no response.

Now in March 2022, they tried to debit the payment again, however they could not. Now they have sent painful legal notices.
I sent them the documents with date stamps and the content,post office cannot provide proof of letters sent or fax sent.
It is very easy for them to see, i have not been using their service, also sent them my marriage certificate as that is the only proof I have and the word documents.

However, they still do not correspond and want me to correspond with the lawyers. I also sent the details to the lawyers, they dont answer my calls as they dont speak english.
Now I am being stressed by legal letters.

I wish customer service was fair, looked at it as a genuine case and not charged a customer who is not using services. I accepted the challenges of covid and impact it had on their services and even did not claim back the payment of 2021-2022.

I hope someone from their team looks at this with fairness, as I cannot get anywhere. Is there a CEOs email or team I can contact?

This has been the case for many years. We recommend sending notice via e-mail: customers who e-mail us get an automatic confirmation that the e-mail has reached us, so that they can be sure that the correct address has been used. We send a confirmation of each cancellation that has been submitted in the agreed & correct time and form. This confirmation is also sent via e-mail to the e-mail address that is registered with us. It is always recommended to check if a termination has been confirmed, not just with us but with any service/contract, and otherwise to reach out again. Unfortunately, we cannot assist via this platform, as we are unable to or comment any personal contract issues publicly due to data protection law. Hi Cem Yildiz, the easiest way to delete your basic member profile is by logging into your account in your browser, going to "Meine Daten" on the top right, selecting "Daten & Einstellungen" and then you should see one sub-headline called "Profilstatus". Here, just click on the link behind "Bitte klicke hier, um dein Profil zu löschen.".

If you are a (paying) premium member, it is not possible to delete your profile yourself. You would have to cancel your subscription first (within the notice period). This can be done by sending an e-mail to kundenservice@elitepartner.de. Please also state your profile ID.

Elite Partner uses unethical methods

Elite Partner uses unethical methods!
A subscription site can inform you of a automatic annual renewal, but CAN NOT threat with going to court if the payment was canceled or declined. All it can do is disconnect access to the site. A subscription service can not press legal charges. Elite Partner be ashamed to take advantage of people.
This has to stop !!!!!!

Had a horrible experience with these…

Had a horrible experience with these guys. I ve registered and filled my profile- absolutely normal text and pics and after a couple of days they deleted it because it "doesn't fit" their requirements. I am a doctor educated in Oxford, wrote an awesome profile text, what else do they need? Don't recommend it.

Hi Anna Novikov, it is our goal to offer the best and safest dating service, this is why our colleagues check every new registration manually. A certain level of sophistication as well as clearly shown intentions for a serious relationship are important. Other criteria are related to security: Is the info submitted to the profile plausible? Are there any hints this could be a profile with ill intentions towards our members? Sometimes members with good intentions accidentally create profiles that show indicators of fraud profiles which can lead to non-acceptance. Unfortunately, with hindsight it is difficult to tell what led to exclusion, but you could try and register once more, taking care that all answers and profile info are plausible. Sorry for your trouble!
